The town clerk's office now accepts credit cards.


Pursuant to Article 41, Section 1660, Paragraph 11 of the New York State and Traffic Law, all Town Roads in the Town of Parish, County of Oswego are temporarily limited to tonnage not to exceed more than (5) tons per axle beginning March 1st, 2015 and ending May 31st, 2015 or until signs are removed.


Seasonal Roads in the Town of Parish, such as Happy Valley Road, White Hill Road and sections of Saint Mary’s Roads, Church Hill Road, and Chapman Road will not be maintained from December 1st, 2014 to April 1st, 2015.

There will be no parking on any roads in the Town of Parish between the hours of 1:00 am. to 6:00 a.m. from December 1st, 2014 through April 1st, 2015.

Please return our water survey either by mail or drop it off at the town/village offices. The town and village boards appreciate your input as it is important to determine public opinion. If you did not receive a water survey and would like to express your opinion as a property owner, please contact the town of Parish at 315.625.4507 or the village of Parish at 315.625.4592.

Town Board and Joint Board

The next regular meeting of the Parish town board is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. at the Parish Village Gym, 2938 East Main Street, Parish, New York.

The next joint meeting of the Parish Town and Village Boards is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Parish Village Gym, 2938 East Main Street, Parish, New York.


The Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending 2014 for the Town of Parish is on file in the Parish Town Clerk’s Office located at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish NY in the Village Gym. The Financial Report is available during regular business hours for inspection.

Planning Board

The next regular meeting of the Parish Town and Village Planning Board is scheduled for Monday, March 23, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., at the Parish Village Gym, 2938 East Main Street, Parish.

New planning board documents have been posted to the Documents page, including a request form to be placed on the planning board's agenda, the state environmental review short form, and application forms for land subdivision and site plan review.

Assessor

The Town of Parish assessor's web page has been updated with links to additional information resources.

The Assessor of the Town of Parish, County of Oswego, has completed the tentative assessment roll for the current year and that a copy has been filed with Kelly Reader, Parish Town Clerk at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until May 31st, 2015.

The Assessor will be in attendance with the tentative assessment roll at the Assessor’s Office located at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY on May 4, 2015 between the hours of 10:00 am-2:00 p.m., on May 8, 2015 between the hours of 10:00 am-2:00 p.m., on May 13, 2015 between the hours of 4:00 pm-8:00 pm, and on May 16, 2015 between the hours of 10:00 am-2:00 pm.

The Assessor has the authority to stipulate assessment adjustments prior to Grievance Day. The Board of Assessment Review will convene on May 26, 2015 between the hours of 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in said town to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, on the written application of any person believing himself to be aggrieved.

Anyone filing a grievance is encouraged to have the application complete prior to Grievance Day.

The Town of Parish's codes officer is George Bennett Jr., who can be contacted at 315.625.4305.

The Parish Code Enforcement Office has a Facebook page, which includes a calendar of the code officer's monthly calendar.


Dog Control
